Winter Training

The winter can be a tough time for the avid golfer.  No daylight hours to practice.  My favorite hobby is reduced to the occasional Saturday round (when its not pouring down rain) and weeknights at the driving range, fighting for a heated space and spraying balls into the darkness.  Fortunately, the frustrated golfer can also use this time to focus on fitness.

That's exactly what I did on a recent trip to Hawaii.  Enjoy!!

Bandon Dunes 2011 - A Tribute

My golf experience at Bandon Dunes was undoubtedly the most fun I've ever had playing golf.  In so many ways it was the most unique golf experience - the monstrous greens at Old Mac, the breathtaking views of Bandon and Pacific, and the dig-down-deep challenges at Bandon Trails.  Its very hard to describe the experience, so I put a video/picture slide show together that hopefully showcases the awe-inspiring beauty of this place.  I've played most of my golf in Oregon, where courses have their distinctive features but are mostly alike, and I am shocked that this place exists in Oregon.  My husband and I went there for the first time in September, I went back in October with my dad for a tournament, and we just came back from our New Years weekend there.  I'm absolutely addicted.  I don't really know what else to say other than this place is something every golfer should experience, and is something that I won't be able to live without from now on...
